The Dead of Night

The Dead of Night are a Dark Ambient/Neoclassical band from Lisbon, Portugal.

The first blueprints for both the music and general concept behind The Dead of Night came about in June, 2007. As a solo project, it originated from a wealth of ideas, some left over unused from other music projects, some resurrected from an old catalogue of musical fragments that had never found a proper home.

Programmer Shadow’s goal was to create music that evoked night, its power and landscapes, the pleasant chill that assails the wanderer who is caught in its onset.

The Dead of Night are influenced by everything from the darkest to the lightest brands of Ambient, Classical, Psychedelia and Extreme Metal.

In 2009, singer Morgana Duvessa joined The Dead of Night, and recorded vocals for 4 tracks of the debut CD 'Inert', which came out during the Summer of 2010, via Invisible Eye Productions.
